MEO Cock Candy Oral Gel Value Pack Review

~I recieved this product from MEO for free in exchange for an honest review. This in no way, shape or form has any affect on my opinions on this product.~

My VixSkin Johnny dildo kindly volunteered for this lube testing/experiment as a real penis isn’t available right now. Boo!

First Impressions:

These lubes are presented in little cute 30ml white flip top bottles, the words ‘Cock Candy’ in a different colour along the side of the bottle according to each of the different flavours. The flavours are Pina Colada, Strawberry-Kiwi, Vanilla, Strawberry and Cherry.

The lube itself is slippery when first squeezed out onto my fingertip, which I was pleased to find as I thought it might be gloopy, but it’s not. It’s definitely like a gel, not too thick or too runny, just the right consistency in my opinion. The only thing I don’t like about the bottles is the fact that they’re the squeezy type. It makes it harder to get the lube out and makes things messy, would be so much easier if they had a pump dispenser top.

Now, let’s get onto the fun stuff!

My Experiences with the Cock Candy Oral Gel:

1.

Starting off with one of my favourites from the bunch, Pina Colada! I’ll be honest here, I’ve never drank a Pina Colada before, so I’m not even sure what it’s meant to taste like really. But this flavour tastes amazing. It has a fairly sweet taste of coconut and a slight hint of alcohol to it, although there isn’t any in this oral gel. I found that tasting too much of it made me experience a synthetic taste, so I’d advise just a small amount so you don’t get that aftertaste. Overall, I think the Pina Colada flavour is really yummy but I couldn’t tell you if it replicates the cocktail or not.

2.

My second favourite of the bunch, Strawberry-Kiwi. I was honestly really surprised at the authentic taste of this one. I got the sweet flavour of the strawberry at first, but then the tart and slightly sweet kiwi flavour came into play and I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. It tasted quite fresh, definitely not something I expected a flavoured lube to be like at all.

3.

I love all things cherry flavoured. Drinks, sweets, gum. Everything. So having a love for the cherry flavour, I was pretty excited to try this gel out considering the first two flavours were so yummy and this one didn’t disappoint me at all.  It has a slight sour taste to it, which I love and it really does taste like cherry. Not really in the fresh way but in the way it tries to get replicated in a fizzy drink. Not a bad thing by any means, but a fresher flavour might have been better, but that’s just my preference.

4.

Vanilla is usually a flavour that I kinda hate in anything (except ice cream and coke) because it can taste really synthetic and can be too sweet and sticky at times. Unfortunately, this gel was no different. It tastes far too sticky and sweet and it made me gag a little because of the horrible aftertaste that you get when vanilla flavouring is too synthetic. I really didn’t like it at all and I feel like it’s the only one out of all of them that doesn’t have a freshness to it.

5.

Strawberry is a flavour I’ve never really cared for. It’s usually really boring to me or just so weak that I wouldn’t notice it anyway. This gel didn’t change how I feel about it as such, but I did quite like it. It’s pretty sweet but it has a slight freshness to it. Although it mostly tasted synthetic,  I still ended up enjoying it which I wasn’t expecting.

Verdict:

Overall, the oral gels are quite yummy, even though I found the vanilla one disgusting and the strawberry one not that exciting. They spread well on the Johnny and the colours of the gels are extremely eye appealing. The only negatives I have about the gels is that while the flavours pop at first, they only last for about 5 seconds and then a really sweet, sickly taste just appears and after trying them all, one after the other, I felt quite sick by then and just never wanted to go near them again. If the flavours lasted until the gel dried out, I’d be very happy. But they don’t, they’re just too sweet for me personally.

The product page says they can be used for sex (vaginal and anal), I’d really advise against this as they’re just too sticky and the gel dries out really quickly so even if they weren’t sticky, you’d have to reapply constantly to use them as a regular lube.

While I did enjoy the majority of the flavours, they just didn’t last and I was left with a stickiness in the back of my throat, a synthetic taste on my tongue and a queasiness in my stomach. It would also be a lot better if the bottles had a pump dispenser to avoid lube going everywhere. Negatives aside, I do think they would make oral sex more fun and the flavours are yummy to begin with so I would recommend them based on those reasons. I just didn’t think they were that great once the initial flavouring faded away.
