Lelo Mia 2 USB Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator Review

“The Lelo Mia 2 was my favourite toy in the beginning. Although now, I don’t use it at all, maybe I should donate it to a charity shop?”

The Lelo Mia 2 was my first ‘luxury’ sex toy. I don’t really know what I was expecting from it at the time or if it would be any different from a regular priced product, but for a time, the Lelo Mia 2 was my favourite toy in the beginning, even after I accumulated more toys. Although now, I don’t use it at all, maybe I should donate it to a charity shop?

A Little Bit About Lelo:

For most people when they’re thinking of a luxury sex toy company, they think of Lelo. They are a pretty well-known company that are based in Sweden, they have a whole range of sleek, sexy and classy products. Vibrators (both for men and women), bedroom accessories, sensual accessories. I could just go on and on, you’re really spoilt for choice with Lelo, there’s something for everyone.

First Impressions:

Since this was the first luxury toy and also the first Lelo product I purchased, I was in awe of the beautiful packaging. It’s simple, yet classy. Pretty without being too overbearing and overly girly. The outer box is a deep pinkish purple (my pictures make it look quite pink, so I’m sorry for that), with Lelo’s logo printed on the front, down one side of the box is the key features of the Mia 2, the Mia 2 being pictured on the back with some info on the toy itself and what the box contains. The inner box is very sleek and an attractive matte black, with Lelo’s logo printed on the front. Inside the box is the Mia 2, storage bag, a user manual and a 1-year warranty booklet.

The Mia 2 is very sleek, pretty and discreet in appearance. It’s shaped like a lipstick for the sake of your privacy basically if you’re travelling or maybe you just have younger siblings or your own children that have nifty fingers. It’s a really nice looking purple colour , quite deep and not bright that would make it look tacky (even though my pictures make it look bright, oopsie), there’s also a silver band around middle of it which is a nice contrast from the purple. It’s made from plastic, the only silicone part of the toy being the section where the buttons are, which is great. It’s USB rechargeable so one end twists off, making the Mia 2 look like a very stylish USB stick. I also love the drawstring storage bag that you get with it, it’s very silky and soft.

It’s operated by two buttons, a plus and a minus. The Mia 2 offers 6 vibration speeds and 5 pattern settings. It also comes with a travel lock, which you activate by pressing the two control buttons for a few seconds, then you just repeat that to unlock it again. It’s such a great feature that I wish all vibrators had, would make things so much easier, especially if you travel fairly often.  A full charge of the Mia 2 gives you around 2 hours of playtime, it takes around an hour or so to charge.

My Experience with the Lelo Mia 2:

As much as I really liked the Mia 2 when I first used it, I did find it a little boring sometimes. The first couple of vibrations speeds are incredibly gentle, they barely feel like a tickle and I couldn’t even tell it was on to be perfectly honest. I understand that a lot of people might be extremely sensitive so the lowest speeds would be great but for a lot of us, it wouldn’t be near enough. Myself included. After I went up in vibration speeds, they were a vast improvement and I definitely enjoyed them. The Mia 2 is especially rumbly, which I just love. But I think it’s a toy that made me realise that I’m a power queen. I require an intense amount of power to have explosive orgasms. Not that it doesn’t provide decent orgasms, it definitely does but I was left wanting  3 or 4 speeds more, or maybe just more intense vibrations.

In my opinion I would have preferred the lowest vibrations speeds to have been taken out and for the Mia 2 to have the highest vibration settings, which are about mid-range on the intensity scale, as the first 3 vibration speeds and then have the last 3 as something with quite a bit more power. This just comes down to my personal preference though. I think generally, the Mia 2 would suit a lot of people and satisfy a lot of people, I’m just one of those ones who needs a lot of power, like I said. Although at the time, I was completely happy with the power of it. But I think I’ve become used to toys that provide such intense vibrations that I wouldn’t be able to orgasm now with the Mia 2 if I tried. Charity shop, anyone?

Verdict:

While I loved the Mia 2 when I was first starting out with little toys, I now don’t use it or particularly like it because the intensity is just not there. It would suit a lot of people because the lower settings are really gentle and the higher settings are more mid-range vibrations, and I think it would be good for a newbie who want their first toy to be a really attractive one or they just want to upgrade from a cheaper bullet of some kind. But if you’re someone who needs a vibrator with a lot of power, you might want to look elsewhere.

Where To Buy?:
